Great titles for design build ideas. Besides being a great location for picking up inspiration, they offer a unique assortment of quirky gifts for art & design aficionados. I never leave here without purchasing a few items for friends.
This was my first visit to this location. I used to frequently visit the location in Ghirardelli Square before the owners chased out all the good shops from the square. I loved the unique selection of books here and did not leave empty handed.
Builders Bookstore isn't just for architecture and construction buffs. Don't get me wrong - the store has a very well-deserved reputation for its shelves of building and landscape books. But there's much more!nnI like to browse the children's section. On one visit, I found some interesting biographies of lesser-known historical figures. Another time, a vibrant book about California's natural history caught my eye. On an adjacent shelf, I got lost in the complex sticker books - like paint with numbers, but with stickers.nnIf you're a builder of any sort, be sure to stop by. If you're not, you can still find delightful reads.
