Balance and Body Physical Therapy & Massage

I was having several minor but chronic joint pains and Dr. Mao was able to fix all of them within a few months. Seeing Dr. Mao was life changing and I am so grateful I was guided to him! Dr. Mao is also very honest and only wants the best for his patients. As we were trying to figure out what worked best for me, I felt Dr. Mao always honestly communicated with me even if the possible results were less than ideal. However, everything worked out so well and now I am able to happily jog and exercise again. Also, Dr. Mao's team is so kind, friendly, and very customer service oriented. If I could, I would give Dr. Mao and his team more than 5 stars! I would definitely recommend Dr. Mao to others!

I have had the pleasure of having Kevin as my therapist by need & a developing friendship by choice. I fractured my ankle late April & had surgery (open reduction internal fixation) on May 4, 2020. I'm 3 months status post & recovering very well, thanks to. Kevin. My fisrt visit with Kevin was June 15 (about a week after my cast came off) I was unable to walk & had to be on my knee scooter. Kevin is unlike any other therapist or therapy you've ever experienced, from day 1, he made me incredibly comfortable with the treatment he outlined. I was afraid, I would never walk in my heels again & that I would have issue walking in general.nnKevin not only provided amazing one on one therapy sessions, he also taught me a great deal about the mechanism of my body & foot. Not to mention taught my husband how to best help me while at home by showing him how to message my foot/ankle to relief the swelling. He also taught him what to do about relieving pain on his shoulder, Kevin was great at taking a few minutes of his own time, after my session to do this.nnAs of this past Friday, 9 PT visits later, Kevin has discharged me as I've advance to a level where I'm able to walk without any issues & am able to wear my 2 inch ud83dudc60 progressing up to my 3 & 4 inch.nnI hope never to need him again, but if I or anyone I know does need him at any point, I will not hesitate to return to see him or recommend him to others. I found Balance and Body from an info ad on NextDoor. I don’t usually find my medical practitioners through ads but I decided to take a chance. I am so glad that I did. I had been getting injections in my foot for a couple of years. Nothing else helped the pain. Kevin worked on my foot and ankle several times and I’ve now been pain free for over a year. I also couldn’t turn my head to look over my shoulder after years of working at a desk. I now have significantly more range of motion in my neck. He does not work as they do in a regular PT practice. You get his full attention (no aides or assistants) and a unique approach to your pain. I highly recommend Balance and Body.

Professional/Caring/Effective/AmazingnnI needed outpatient PT after my recent knee replacement surgery. For my PT, I was so lucky to find Kevin at Balance and Body Restoration. Kevin is so different than all of the other PTs I have met, and there have been many. From the the initial consultation and assessment, I knew this PT was going to be different and actually beneficial, which is so different from the other PT services I have had. This was not going to be just repetitions of ankle pumps. Kevin spent the time to listen to my concerns and what I wanted to get out of PT; he adjusted the sessions and exercises to meet (and exceed) my goals. I saw real progress after only a few sessions. Kevin is the only PT that explained and focused on the importance of the mind-body connection; it made all the difference in the world.nnDue to decades of having bad knees and compensating for this by altering my movements to accommodate for the deficiency, my focus during PT was on very functional, practical goals. The most important goal to me was being able to get off the floor unaided. Another goal was being able to easily get out of a chair. I was so pleased (and actually amazed) that I was able to attain these goals. The exercises Kevin created for me were focused on my needs and was different from anything I had done before. These exercises were ones I could easily replicate at home and because these exercises actually resulted in tangible progress, I enjoyed doing them and seeing the progress. Although my time with Kevin has concluded, I am continuing to do these exercises and continue to see additional progress. I cannot say enough about Kevin and the positive and real impact he has made to my life. I already plan to go back to Kevin after surgery on my other knee. My experience with Kevin has opened my eyes to the real possibility of non-surgical solutions to any issues I would have related to impairment of my mobility, whether that be knees, hips, back, etc. In short, seeing Kevin was life-changing and has improved my quality of life beyond words.

After 8 months of back and leg pain I finally found Kevin. He has narrowed down my problem and I am finally on the road to recovery. I would highly recommend Kevin.
