Amazing school, a big beautiful community. The teachers there are just awesome. When you first go there you feel like a different person. You feel part of a big community. But I have to say man, best school for all 6-8 graders.

Better than CCMS its more cleaner in IVC and there is lots of electives to choose from

Horribly mis-managed. If there is ever any kind of serious incident at this school, plan with your children for what they should do. The school is completely unprepared.

heck with this school, 7th grade probably is the only year I'd ever enjoy, this year I probably won't, I have to deal with this, don't you see me suffering.

Horrible. Their bullying system is no where near helpful, as a student who had experience from enrolling here, I don’t recommend signing your child up for this place. The kids have their own cliques, cliques where they have “rules” to disrespect others to seem superior. I’ve been pushed and kicked around campus, I had people talk behind my back, I had one certain bully who would never fail to put down my self esteem. I never did anything to them. It had been the biggest problem that ALMOST drove me to taking my own life. Staff didn’t care one bit. All they do is rearrange your schedule for the year after so you won’t see a certian student, they won’t punish the bully without solid evidence. If they want to make this a happier place, they should take bullying more seriously. I go to a different school and I have been since the start of 7th grade, how I even dread of showing my face anywhere near Alvarado. I’ve made a friend from my current school who transferred because of the horrible students there.nnThe campus is also unsafe. Anyone could enter school grounds. anyone can simply bring a weapon on campus to cause harm. Due to the recent shooting in Florida it would be wise to upgrade the school’s security, you never know when tragedy could strike. It would probably be more of a help than our government had ever been! Rather safe than sorry. We can’t afford to lose more innocent lives.
