I was here in 2011-2013 and during this time a teacher was arrested for having child pornography in his computer. I was once left alone with this teacher after school and I'm thankful nothing bad ever occurred to me, but the fact that the school had poor background checks that could've ended up costing a childs innocence should not be taken lightly nor something to test. I know it was years ago and that it has changed, but my experience could have been better. Back then we had no electives to choose from, which was annoying since I had to wait till high school to have that choice. I hope that it has changed for the better. The student leadership and involvement was amazing however, but the teacher pedophile is what gives is a zero if I could.
Well I'm going because I thought it could be a good middle school because I have been on a field trip there and it was alright so it might be a good school but that's not what the comments say
This also, like so many was my Middle School. These reviews can come from other people’s experiences, but out of all the possible Middle School I could have gone to this was byfar worth it. To the parent’s reading this do not take these bad reviews as a bad egg to the school in it’s entirity. Throughout my time at Winton I have found myself creating my own Work Ethic. The multiple programs help your Child and future Wildcat become enriched with the Middle School culture. I will admit the Campus is extremely ghetto however, the staff and let alone comfort and support they provide students to me made Winton for my 2 years feel at home. As hardass some teachers can be they do it for your child’s own good. (Mr. Cruz, and Ms. Abatè especially) why? Because they love your child. It’s not the School itself that defines Winton’s overall experience, it’s the students and staff. I have been able to make new friends despite being unpopular and downright odd. As well as being able to get myself ready for High School. To the parent’s reading this you have watched your child grow, let them grow up some more by going to Winton. I look forward to seeing more and more future Wildcats everytime I visit the Winton campus.
A lot of people say it's a bad school but honestly it's what the student makes it. I hear a lot of talk but how they're drugs on school grounds and yes they are drugs nd honestly the school staff is really good to find the person that has them, but every middle school too high school has them, they don't force you to do them like I said it's up to the student. Yes, they are fights every school has them but once again it's up to the student to decide if he/she wants to get involve. I know a lot of people whom graduate it from winton with really good grades that now graduate high school and are on their way to college. I know people whom dropped out and just didn't care about school but again it all depends on the student. Winton has amazing teachers, if you get along well with them you'll have no problem they'll make you feel welcome but it's clear if you give them a hard time they will give you a hard time. When i left middle school and went to high school i felt like i was ready, it was pretty easy i honestly felt like i was capabel of doing what i was told. Winton really did help me get ready for high school. point is the school is not bad, it's what the student makes it.
The most horrifying school i have been in my life. Lots of drugs, bullies, and bad environment. The teachers are bad and careless and the education programs are very bad .Trash everywhere and the staff and counselors are bad, they don't care about your education.I have gone to schools fron las vegas through north California(over 15 schools) and winton is the worst. Very bad school district also. PARENTS AND SUDENTS: IF YOU ARE GOING TO WINTON MIDDLEE SCHOOL, DONT DO IT PLEASE, GO TO ANOTHER SCHOOL BECAUSE IF YOU GO TO WINTON, YOU WILL REGRET IT.YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
