I've driven past here many times and didn't think much of it. After walking through it with my wife and two young boys (5 and 1), it is now one of my favorite places in Roanoke. It is great place for kids to explore safely. They especially enjoyed the maze. It also is a great backdrop for a romantic stroll. We're excited to return for a picnic. I highly recommend the arboretum for tourists and locals alike.
A beautiful campus. Looking forward to classes there again
The arboretum is not large, but it is definitely a nice place to visit. There are some pretty fun, large trees, and the greenhouse is a nice little treat. This is a nice place to go to simply take a stroll and enjoy either your company or a bit of quiet time.
Nice arboretum with a variety of trees and plants. There are several different gardens including children's garden and shade garden (low-light preferred plants).nThere is also a small buxus maze.nGreen and nice sceneries make it an attractive spot for photo shoots.
Great campus close to town but just far enough away to have it's own space
