I am very disappointed with the way they operate. The doctor i usually see in Stafford is there 1 day per week so I wanted to see another doctor. They refused to let me see another doctor. I am fresh out of the hospital. They wanted me to see the PA, I had seen her before and just didn't feel comfortable with her. The receptionist didn't care, she wasn't going to make an appointment. They don't want you to be in charge of your care, they insist on dictating it to you. If you want to be able to see a doctor when you are sick, and you want to have a voice in the care that you receive, don't go here, keep looking. Don't allow them to dictate your comfort level in the care that you receive.

When I first started at Cardinal medicine it was a great primary care center. However, in the last 2-years it’s been almost impossible to see my primary care doctor without a 1-2+-week wait. You end up seeing a physician’s assistant (PA) versus your primary care doctor and it’s usually a different PA each time. Since it’s challenging to see your actual primary care doctor, and you see multiple different providers it’s easier to just go to a walk-in clinic as you don’t need an appointment and some allow you to pre-register so there is almost zero wait. I had an appointment with the primary care provider today at Cardinal Medicine and they called me 2-hours before my appointment and told me he was double booked, and I could only be seen at another clinic by a PA. If you would like to see your primary care doctor on a routine basis, I recommend another facility. Everyone at Cardinal is great, but in the last few years they have shifted from patient centered care to profit centered care. I prefer to see the same doctor with each visit or I would go to a walk-in clinic.
