I was in yesterday with Dr. Kristie McDowell to discuss my recent labs, and she was the only doctor I have seen in years that actually listened to my concerns, and gave great recommendations based on my lab results. I really appreciated her listening to my concerns, hearing my symptoms, and then taking the appropriate steps to help figure out what is going on with my health. Thank you very much, and I will be recommending this office to my friends, and co-workers as well as be a returning patient.

This practice requires a social security number for each patient just to make an appointment. Even children. Not a sponsor’s ssn, not a DOD number for insurance, each child’s own personal SSN.nnIdentity theft among children is rampant as their names and numbers are not yet associated with credit cards and leases. You won’t know it’s happened until your child signs a lease or applies for their first credit card. In our many years and many practices we’ve visited across the country, this is my first time in countering this SSN practice. May be it’s common, but its certainly not a requirement to run a successful business.nnTheir “system won’t let them go any further” was the explanation I received. Hang up and find some one else.nnOn another note, Tricare assigned us to Kristie McDowell. But office staff wouldn’t allow us to make an appointment with her because she was a PA. I was advised I would have to 1. See someone else and 2. Determine if Tricare would cover that person on my own.nnIf Tricare assigned me a PCM, PA or not, I should be allowed to make an appointment. It’s just a child well visit. Isn’t that the purpose of a PA?
