I received a violation notice that our grass was too tall. The rain was such it was difficult for grass to get dry enough to mow, then it would rain again! By the time we got the letter it had been mowed for several days. Then 3 days later we had to sign for duplicate letter. The postman said he had at least 15 of those just in my neighborhood. So the county government is using our tax dollars to mail notices about tall grass, they mail a copy then send the exact same letter that we have to sign the green card. How much do u suppose that cost US?nSo I look outside at the slurry that was put in the road that looks terrible! Small pebbles all over that get tracked into our home and damage our floors. VDOT said it would be cleaned up by now. NOT! I’m embarrassed at the poor job that was done with our tax dollars!nThen the weeds and grass that are growing out of the slurry was taller than my grass yet we got a notice!nI’m filing a complaint. I spoke to VDOT about the weeds prior to the slurry being put down, I was told it would all be taken care of a week after the subdivision was finished being slurried. Well, it didn’t happen either. If anyone else has this kind of problem please call VDOT and code enforcement in Roanoke county. We pay a lot of taxes, especially real estate taxes then have to live with roads that are horrible! I hope someone will join me in getting this made right.
