Maidens Bridge is a great exit point for a fun float float down the James River. We typically put in at the Powhatan State Park and float down or kayak. Very open parking area, they have a good boat ramp that you can put in as well. Few little walking trails. There are a few rope swings down the shore. Good place you can walk into the river, swim and splash around. There is some decent fishing under the bridge.

Pretty cool place to go canoeing or kayaking.nWater is very common flat there you can paddle up River no problem..nOnly problem my kids and I ever seem to have is when you get back to the boat landing it seems like there's always a lot of people on the boat landing that have no idea or no Courtesy In realizing that it's for launching boats not just hanging out..nBut all in all still a great place to access the river
