This is my second time I had an issue with my Blue Cross and Blue Shield in the office. Last year my insurance had two co pays. One was for in net work and other for out of net work. The office staff said they were told they had to collect the hirer amount, which made no sense to me, so I paid, and it took about a month to get reinbursed. So this year I went for a follow up visit. I had already met my out of pocket deductible, so there was nothing to pay. I advised the gal to Check the Blue Cross System. She was very nice, and she told me they had to collect the co payment anyway, and they were not empowered to check their system. I just about walked out, but I paid the $20 co pay, and I thought, I will get it back. I waited a few weeks. I called back. The same gal waited on me, and she sd when the office gets notification that I had already met my out of pocket dectible , a check would be sent out. I waited another 3 weeks, I called and spoke with Office Manager Vanee. She was very helpful and understanding. I though no big deal. Well I have called Vanee several times. Once she said she was busy and would call me back in the morning. No call. I have called back several times with no success. The Doctor was nice, and had a good bedside manner. BUT when it comes to insurance, I will reconsider using their services. I have never had an issue with any Dr. regarding insurance when I tell them I have met my deductible. Some verify ,and some don.t Years ago prior to going to this Dr., there was a negative review for this office, not the Dr. Since then the review has been removed. I can live with out the money, but don't take something that is not yours since you are getting paid by Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
