Dr Dabhi is a very caring doctor who listens to your concerns. He takes his time and shows a genuine interest in his patients.

I am extremely disappointed in Dr. Dhabi's level of care. He proved to be very unhelpful and dismissive in dealing with my mother's health issues.

On August 21, at 10:18, I called Dr. Dabhi’s office to see if I could get an appointment for my mother who had moved from Assisted Living to home in Prince George. She was running out of critical meds for seizure and blood clotting and I have to find a new doctor. Dr. Dabhi was recommended by Encompass Health nurse. The person on the phone asked questions about her health and insurance and said we would need to wait for the doctor to review her as a new patient before he would accept. It would take a couple of days for that to happen and they would call me back.nnOn August 27th, as her meds are running out, I stopped at the office 6 days later to see what the status of her file was with the doctor. I went into the waiting room and the receptionist did not receive me or greet me just said sign in and take a seat and shut the window. I could have been there selling cookies but she didn’t bother to find out. Then I looked at a poster on the window and she through closed window said take a seat someone will call you.nnI was called to the back to another window and asked about my mom’s status. The woman said she is not on thier list, then she got another list and the office manager or whoever was in charge of new patient was not there but on the phone. The woman at the back window said ok we need to get this back to the doctor to review, we haven’t done it yet. I said I called last week and she needs her meds and appointment. This woman assured me mom would get her appointment the next day and to call back if I didn’t receive a call that evening or in the morning.nnOn August 28th, at 12:53 pm giving them ample time to call me I called to follow up again since no one seems to know how to follow up in that office. The person said, oh let me get that taken care of and she would call me back shortly. At 3:07 pm, I called again. This time another person said, I haven’t gotten that back to the doctor to review yet, give me an hour to do that. I said ok, but sheesh, this is ridiculous, and asked if we could schedule her for tomorrow. Then she said oh no, she won’t be seen for another week. At that point I said forget it, your doctor might be good, but your office sucks. My mom will have to go to Patient First to get her meds this time. And I will let Encompass Health know that Dabhi’s office is not a good place to recommend.

I've been a patient of Dr. Dabhi's for several years now, and I have to say he's the best GP I've ever had. He takes his time with you, listens to what you say, tries his best to be on time and is generally a caring, thoughtful practitioner. You really can't ask for more.
