One of the local tech schools, with Arlington's Career Center being a Governor's school as another. Both with good reputations, from what I can tell, as an old person. Some robotics teams, and the Arlington Career Center has a pilot's license option with a Link? simulator seen while doing One Laptop Per Child Learning Club stuff back in the day, and Scratch Days.

Good school. Difficult to get in as you need to have all A's. But, not very easy on your kids. A friend of mine got in two years ago and he wanted to drop out the same year he got in as it was a great amount of stress and work for him. It is one of the best schools but he dropped out from it as it made it difficult for him to relax and be calm. He's always anxious and almost never able to stop doing his work from school as it is too much for a mere high schooler.

Just graduated from here. Incredible faculty, incredible equipment, and of course incredible people. I came here to get access to the many research labs on campus and literally the best education America has to offer. In my four years here, I've worked on rocket design for NASA, participated in various robotics competitions and designed EEG enable autonomous UAVs - trust me, there's plenty to do. However, the academic workload will, as expected, eat up your free time - don't expect to go out anytime but the weekends, if then. But, if you make it through to graduation, you'll be so well-prepared for college you should never have any time management problems at least.

I go to TJ and I must say it is the best school I've gone to. The environment is great and relaxed and the teachers are qualified yet fun. Eighth period gives the students something to look forward to during the day and is a great way to catch up on homework, work in a group, or just relieve stress and relax.
