I just did my endoscopy with dr. Kuperschmidt and I’m so grateful to him and the staff. Very professional and very quick. I didn’t feel a thing.

Dr. Kuperschmidt is very poor on patient care. He places administrative policy above customer (patient) service. I had an appointment and they requested my new insurance card prior to being seen. I have been seen by Dr. Kuperschmidt before and he had my insurance information previously on file. It seems that his office lost it when changing information systems. Instead of accepting that I would provide my insurance information after my appointment, Dr. Kuperschmidt gave me an ultimatum that I could only be seen as a self-pay patient. This inflexibility, along with the loss of insurance information they should have had on file, is proof that his is a poorly run practice only interested in money. Very sad. Anyone reading this, I strongly recommend that you please find a more patient-centered practice for your needs. You will be treated as nothing more than a number here.

After being told that Dr. Kuperschmit is one of the best in NOVA; I was not pleased when I was able to go to other GI doctors in the area. It appears that Kuperschmit is willing to do the minimal necessary to help you. He doesn't seem interested in trying new things, only with his approach. He's likely to bring up diet changes and all sort of other things before he will admit that he doesn't know how to treat you or to refer you to someone else. It's a shame in the healthcare that there are professionals who will see you for 4+ years and allow you to be on the same plan that hasn't worked and doesn't give you anything better. If you aren't getting any luck with him my best advice is to seek a second opinion or go seek his opinion as a last option.

I went to two other GI doctors and listened to what they had to say and I knew they were wrong. I went to Doctor Kuperschmidt and not only did he diagnosed me correctly he put me on a path to recovery. What else would you want from a doctor and he is a good one.
