We moved near this cleaners near the end of last year and needed a new Laundry. My first batch of clothes (higher end shirts) were all charged a reasonable price by the man (assuming owner) the next few times dealing with the woman (assuming spouse) the price roughly doubled. I asked several other cleaners what their prices were and ALL of them said $2.50 for normal shirts. This cleaner charged me $4.00 and, I believe another time, $6.00 for the same shirts. Just to make sure, I took the same two shirts to another cleaner and sure enough, $2.50 each.

Service was OK. A little longer than normal turn time. Building was clean and people were friendly. When I brought in 15 pairs of pants and 20 shirts I asked if there was a discount for bulk orders. On the expensive side. They do not offer a bulk discount. Whereas other locals businesses offer tiered pricing. As an example the first five pairs of pants are set price. The next set have a reduced price. The same with shirts. I moved to a different place and saw no drop in quality. I saved 20% going elsewhere. On a bill of over $100 that can be $20-$30.

I dropped of a dress to have string resewn. I then forgot about for moran a year! Stopped in without a slip but they were SUPER nice, found the dress & it was perfect!

Always very happy with the quality of the service at Independent. It's the only place I will take my Louis Vuitton scarves to for cleaning.
