Laura was our fearless leader whilst building benches, shelving, and beyond for NK STUDIOS with a group of womxn. She walked us through everything, from planning to execution. Guiding us during the building process, while encouraging hands on involvement. She truly empowered us through teaching us how to plan out a project, to acquiring the materials, to using the power tools to execute it. 5 stars. Would recommend her services, classes, and really anything she has to offer.
Ladies... LADIES! You gotta trust me on this. Taking a class with Laura and Enerstructa was one of the best decisions of my life. NOT KIDDING. I like to think I'm independent, and in many ways I am, as are you. But learning my way around power tools with Laura, well that's been a whole other level of liberation and empowerment. Her classes are about carpentry and building stuff out of wood, at face value. But they are also about building confidence and community. You'll learn specific technical skills and be in the company of other like-minded females, and walk away with a completed project and skills you'll wanna tell your friends about (hence this review). If you are on the fence about taking a class with her, here's my pitch: don't sit on the fence when you can learn to build the fence yourself. BOOM! I'm 100% Team Enerstructa and I think you will be too.
Laura was professional, personable, very passionate about her work and also about sharing her findings with me, the homeowner. She really wanted to make sure I understood her findings. She gave me great information including pictures of my attic and crawl space to show me where I could improve the energy efficiency of my home. Additionally she supported me when I went out to buy suggested items, to make sure I bought the correct items. I don't think she could have done anything better!
