Driver Licensing Regional Office - Lexington

The only reason I am writing a 5 star review is because of one exceptional employee, Valerie (Station #19). Seeing a government employee approach her job with such an understanding and empathetic manner really restored my faith in humanity after a long and trying day at this office.nnThere are several suggestions I encourage this Department to take:n- Open an additional location for the Fayette County arean- Keep the website current with up to date informationn- Have a template walk-in sign in sheet for those without an appointment - assigning specified time windows to those in line at the beginning of the dayn- Utilize online resources to stream line processes

I do not usually leave reviews, but this time I just have to. If I could I would leave a higher review for Valerie #19. She is awesome and made the process easy. She was easy to talk to and was very nice. She showed warmth and friendly to everyone. Knew her job and it really impressed me. Thank you for that, Valerie.

All of the employees were great, but I'm sure they were overloaded. I arrived at 0730 and didn't get into the building until 1100 as a walk-in. They definitely need more locations, because there were two lines outside all the time. An appointment would have been a month away.

Went today for an appointment to change address on my driver's license. I was very impressed with all the staff. I was helped by Shannon who made the whole process pleasant and quick. Two ladies who directed the lines/queues in the outside area were awesome also.

I renewed my license today at KYTC in Lexington KY. I was very impressed with how efficient and friendly they all were. The people at intake right to Ariane who renewed my license for me. I lived in another state most of my life and NEVER had a good experience. Thank you to the State of KY and the workers at the DMV for making my experience a good one. They were busy, but friendly and organized.nnDarlene Peters
