A fun spot. Definitely a must see when passing through Hood River. They had a ton of interesting knick knacks and novelty items. The book selection was actually quite extensive for the size of the place as well. The guy running the shop was super helpful, kind and informative. I'll make a point to stop by here more often when passing through. Thank you for being in business. I love these kind of places.

It’s so funny reading the other reviews, and in response to them real quick, if you had a question while you were in there, did you actually approach and ask the employee for help, or just assume they were rude? And why would you try to haggle a price at a retail store? Support local businesses, and don’t try to force them to lower their prices!nnAnyway, onto my review, but I thoroughly enjoyed coming here! I’m recently very new to Hood River county and was recommended this book store far too many times to count. As soon as I walked in, I saw why. I felt bad, but as soon as you walk in, there’s a narrow walkway lined with some new, some old, but all very unique & interesting books, and I just wanted to stop right there and browse, but I didn’t want to hog the walkway!nnI could almost see the lack or organization that some people have mentioned, but if you’re going in for a specific book or specific author, I would just ask the front desk to help me locate them, because they know the shop the best. I think it’s fun that everything is just broken up by genre, because then you can just pick a genre you’re interested in, and scour the shelves for as long as you want for anything that jumps out at you. There were also some “classic” books that I wanted to pick up that I hadn’t read yet, and they had all of them in stock!nnThe owner is friendly & personable, the prices are affordable, the employees are pleasant, the art is so bad it’s great, and the book selection is incredible!nI think my only gripe is that I wish the neon Bart on the back wall had a price on it! Hahaha

Awesome bookstore! Fun and eclectic,a big selection of used and new, older and more recent books. Lots of fiction and nonfiction, tons to look at plus gifts and funny stuff. I love browsing jam-packed shelves and this place did not disappoint! I found three books I've been looking forward to reading plus a cool zine. Definitely returning here on my next visit!

Fantastic book and bumper sticker collection. We stop here every single time we pass through Hood River. Support local business!

I've been visiting Artifacts since I was a teen growing up in nearby Goldendale. It was, and still is, always a highlight of trips to Hood River. The book selection is great, especially considering the size of the store. I could spend hours browsing. The staff have always been helpful when I or fellow patrons have been looking for something specific, and they're easy and interesting to chat with.nnOnce upon a time, Artifacts was also the source of nearly every bumper sticker that adorned my truck.nnGreat vibe, great books, great prices. Makes me wish I was in Hood River more often.
