This place is great. It is like a best kept secret. In these days of Covid 19 the Government is just about useless but here I found hope and satisfaction. All I wanted was to find a place to purchase a Senior National Park Pass without buying it on line and waiting who knows how long to get it. The places you would think would sell them that are open to the public won't sell them and the places that do sell them will answer a the phone but aren't open and can't give you any better advice than to go somewhere that is closed or to a National Park hundreds of miles away. Well I found the Illinois Valley Visitor Center on my own only 25 miles from home and they were so nice. It was like they didn't exist.....but they did. Thank you so much.

Center is closed. I was there during normal business hours & was only able to get 2 pamphlets that were displayed outside. Someone did come rushing out if the station house to make sure I & my service dog weren't damaging any property. She wasn't friendly & didn't have time to talk to me about the area. I was looking for somewhere to camp & she talked to me like I should know where the landmarks are. If I knew the area I wouldn't be asking questions.

Great place to get information, about the Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve and surrounding area of the Illinois Valley.

This is a great place to stop in and get up to date information about current conditions at the caves before you drive up the winding road, local information is also available for other attractions in the area.nSame-day tickets are available for purchase and a cute little bookstore for Oregon Caves memorabilia. If you are traveling with a large RV or Travel Trailer you can park it there for the day instead of attempting to maneuver the very narrow mountain road to the caves.

It's the visitors center. Not much to say.
