The food is very very good. I recommend eating here though. Second time I called in an order and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes only to get there and wait 45 minutes at the counter. They take your order on the phone but not really. Cool. My time is not valuable to them. Nor my 2 freezing disabled dogs waiting in the car 40F and hailing outside. Thanks guys. Not cool.

So this is one of the better places to eat in Brookings if you’re craving Mexican food. The ladies are very nice the atmosphere is very pleasant. The food is pretty darn good if I do say so myself, and I love my Mexican food.

We went to La Flor on our way through from CA to OR. Decided to stop by as we were craving some good Mexican food. Needless to say I was not impressed with the food. The guacamole had no flavor at all. It was as if they smashed the avocado and threw in onion, tomato’s and cilantro. I mean NO flavor at all. No garlic, salt or cumin to be found. Furthermore I ordered Arroz con Pollo and I ended up with more bell pepper and onion than rice or chicken. Not a single mushroom to be found either as stated on their menu. My daughter was disappointed with her steak fajitas as well. Both her and her friend ordered the same and her friend ended up with all the steak while my daughter ended up with literally 4 pieces of steak. Wow and to think our entire meal was $83 for bland onions and bell peppers. I will give it a positive though. After waiting 10 min for someone to take our order our food came out very quickly. All in all I wouldn’t recommend if you are looking for flavor. I have ordered the same every time I go to a Mexican restaurant and I have definitely had better elsewhere.

Nice spot! Good prices and good service. It was a real treat that done in was open, my first time being able to sit inside a restaurant for a long time. Glad we grabbed lunch here!
