Azalea Park

Nice fairly shaded park. New basketball courts are really nice. Wooden playground is starting to show its age but looks to be kept up. Cool frisbee golf course through wooded areas.

Azalea Park is always a pleasure to spend time at. There is a new basket ball court that is so nice. Brookings is doing an awesome job at making the park very family friendly.

Kids played. I was able to stretch out and then we took a walk. Very nice.

Good sized park an activity for everyone there is some open areas with very little tree coverage and some areas with lots of big trees to walk around 2 basketball courts 2 baseball courts and a small soccer field as well

So I really like this park it’s very central in town it has nice places to walk beautiful scenery playground, frisbee golf and other things to do. Additionally, there are quite a few homeless people camping or staying in and around the park. There was toilet paper up by a tree where it looks like somebody had used it for a restroom. I’m not saying this is a homeless problem, rather, I would say this is a community problem. My opinion is that there be restrooms to use instead of having things locked all the time so that they cannot use the bathroom. Even adding port-o’-potties around with daily cleaning via hose and serviced regularly would be helpful. Hand washing stations and sanitizer stations by and/or mounted on them for cleanliness. Everyone should have dignity in their life.
