My son announced he was going to rent a cabin at Big Sky Montana in January for a family event. I checked the temperature; it was 17 degrees there! I told my wife of my apprehension of leaving sunny California for a week of snow in a cold & drafty house. In reality that stay in this spectacular cabin, for the 7 of us, became one of those unforgettable experiences that will always standout in our memories. This modern cabin had 3 bedrooms upstairs all with private baths. There is a laundry room on each floor. The spacious master suite on the main level has a huge stone fireplace, it’s own zone of radiant floor heat and a slider to a private covered patio. The Chef’s dream kitchen has a high-end stove, refrigerator, 2 sinks, a separate ice maker and ample space for a team to prepare great food. The dining & great room is enormous. We were provided chopped firewood that was stacked in rows on a covered deck w/easy access through a window to the beautiful fireplace. Those that skied got on and off a run right at the house. This cabin and Big Sky provided the perfect winter getaway.
