Hilander Motel

This place doesn't look like much on the outside because it is an older property. However, the rooms, although dated in design, are very clean, A/C works great, and bed is comfortable, room 113. The manager is very nice and accommodating. We have stayed here twice in July. There is a train track relatively close by, but with the A/C on, we were not disturbed. Parking lot is a little tight for larger vehicles. We will definitely stay here again. The price is reasonable as well.

The room value is OK, but too much noise from other guests is tolerated... especially past 1am

Passable if you are single. Don't take the family here - this is not one of the nicer 2-star motels. This place was cool in 1965 and precious little has been updated since then. The room smelled of diluted bleach and cheap cleaning product. Only the TV looked new, and I'd have gladly traded that for bedding that looked like it was purchased in the last five years or a better mattress. It did seem reasonably disinfected. Decide for yourself if that is worth saving $30.
