I think that if you have a valid, legitimate issue with your child custody case, Ashley Marelius will go to great lengths to advocate and defend your position. She has been very responsive with me and everything I had questions and concerns about. She seemed to take on my problems as her own as well as having the legal knowledge necessary for the next steps. She has continued to correspond with me even after the end of my case. To me, this is necessary for great customer service, possible future services and word of mouth recommendations.

Ashley Marelius was my sister’s attorney and was disappointingly the opposite of an advocate and legal confidant through her divorce and custody terms. My sister went through an extremely traumatic experience with her then husband a few weeks after having a baby. Her husband lied and tricked her by not returning her children to her and instead served her divorce papers. She was in complete panic and survival mode and needed an attorney immediately. Ashley Marelius did an incredible job at getting my sister’s business. She spent a ton of time the first 24 hours before we decided to hire her. Once hired, Ashley fell through in a huge way. She made some serious mistakes including telling my sister it would be totally fine to leave the state with her kids for 3 days and then went back on that conversation and blamed my sister for confusing her (we had multiple people on the call to ensure clarity). After this incident she told my sister they could never speak on the phone again and that she would only communicate to her via email. When my sister would contact her for advice, she would respond with wildly inappropriate responses like “I don’t have a crystal ball so I have no idea”. My sister called her out on that and her response was she was feeling sassy. She took zero accountability and never apologized. My poor sister needed someone who understood and supported her and who knew the law. Ashley’s thing was to always “remain cool as a cucumber” and that things will settle down. Basically she created a perfect environment for my sister’s ex to bulldog her and get everything he wanted. I had personally prepared an incredible report and video of all the horrible things her exhusband said and did to my sister. At first Ashley was impressed and said we’ll stick that in our back pocket for when we need it. I’m pretty sure she never did anything proactive in my sister’s case. Do not hire Ashley if you are the mother or wife in the case. It is quite obvious she is more comfortable representing men and I think she even got tips from working with my sister while defending another client who was a “deadbeat father”.

Working with Ashley at Manweiler Breen Ball and Davis, has been a blessing & a great experience. When looking for someone professional, caring & personable; her and Sean fit exactly what we were looking for. Any questions we had, she always answered as soon as she could and always gave us an educated opinion & never steered us in the wrong direction with our case! She handled everything very professionally, respectfully & treated us equally!nWhen my fiancé was too busy to respond to her emails or I personally had questions on our custody case, she never treated me as though I wasn’t as important as the biological parent in the case.
