I would recommend taking the train. it's a bummer it closed. The scenery was amazing along with(most) of the staff. I'll do it again if it reopens.

Wonderful volunteer and super cool old trains. There were a few transients hanging out due to the food pantry across the street. A little uneasy for me.

They were very helpful in this place and I had several questions which the lady gladly answered fully. She gave me some good insight to some things in town as well as answering a few of the questions I had. I've been in here before and is always been friendly people who are helpful and knowledgeable. And they have brochures and booklets and maps for other places in Colorado as well. Good plate to learn a little history or what's in Alamosa and San Luis valley as well.
