I had come to Newport, RI with my boyfriend on a last minute whim, and we decided to stop here for dinner. When I tell you that I have NEVER received a service as impeccable as this from anyone, I mean it. Manny, our server, went above and beyond to make sure mine and my significant others needs were met. We’re from central Connecticut, and the drive here alone was worth it because of Manny. We will definitely be back, and I just hope and pray that other patrons have the opportunity to be serviced by Manny as I was. It truly was a wonderful and amazing experience.

Food and service were both amazing! We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary at 22 Bowen's. The dry aged Delmonico steak was perfection! We shared sides of mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and mushrooms and the portions were HUGE, to say the least! Definitely enough food for another meal. We loved it and will be sure to return when we visit Newport again.

The bar service is excellent, it feels clean and there is plenty of space between yourself and other patrons. The cocktails are fantastically prepared, the food is delicious, and overall it is a wonderful place for a dinner. And the black forest cake is a perfect way to end a meal!

Excellent food and drinks! We are specifically making another reservation for tomorrow night to visit Mary Beth at the bar again. Amazing experience!!

We were visiting Newport from out of state to celebrate an anniversary. We chose 22 Bowen’s for the excellent reviews, and we wanted an upscale steak dinner. Our drinks were great and appetizers were excellent, but it really fell off from there.nnWe both got a 10oz fillet, and both were very dry. I ordered mine medium and my date ordered medium well, but even a well-done steak cooked properly should be juicy. Our sides were unimpressive and left us wanting more.nnOur waiter was kind and he set a very relaxed pace to the evening which we were fine with, but we had a later reservation, and as the night came to a close he rushed us to order desserts and eventually kicked us out MID-BITE. This always bothers me, but this is particularly unacceptable for a restaurant where I have a tab of $200+ for 2 people.nnI’m giving 3 stars for service because our waiter was very nice and attentive to my food allergies. He brought complimentary Prosecco for our anniversary, but we barely had time to enjoy it before being forced out. I do wish he had acknowledged our anniversary more than once at the end, but that’s nit-picky.nnOverall it was a disappointing evening for what I thought would be the most special part of our anniversary weekend.
