Look no further.nWe are finishing our basement and required almost a whole slab of granite for a sink/bar run and large island. We searched for our granite selection at UGM, Mont, and Firenza, but ultimately chose a slab from UGM. We then received 4 quotes from fabricators (Countertops and Granite Direct, Countertop Solutions, Firenza, and Great Lakes Granite Works).nPrice aside, I was most impressed with the accuracy, professionalism, and entire operation at Great Lakes Granite Works. Regarding the price, they were by far and away the most reasonable. They do not “nickel and dime” you like the other fabricators.nThey handled a problem with our initial granite selection in an appropriate and responsive manner. We selected a different slab, as they were not comfortable cutting into our initial selection, which ended up being flawed. We ended up with a granite selection that looked nicer and is much stronger.nThe installation went very smoothly, despite a snowstorm and the difficult trek down a flight of stairs into our basement. A special shout out to Rich and Mark who installed our granite, as well as Russel (for the muscle). Mark even helped patch up a crack in our kitchen granite.nThe owners of the business and everyone with whom we spoke were very courteous, helpful, and quick to respond. Lastly, I cannot say enough about Bill, who was the pointman during our entire transaction. His experience in this industry was evident from our first meeting. He was as knowledgeable as he was honest. We took Bill’s suggestion on which part of the slab should be the island and will be forever grateful that we did.nI cannot say enough positive things about this company. I wouldn’t even shop around in the future, should we ever require more granite in our house.

I worked with Bill to get my quartz counter for my bathroom. Easy to work with and helpful. They even helped me get it installed. Great customer service.
