Very disorganized and unprofessional. Don't waste time on the customer service line, it will take you through constant loops, and when the automated system says there will be an agent to help, there will be no options to talk to one. This shows how stingy the U.S. assistance programs really are and how poorly the government helps the poor. If I could give a negative star I would. Instead, go to your local food bank or churches. F***ing ridiculous.

I’m a masters level social work student that is in between finishing school and finding a career. Like many folks, money is also scarce and limited, so I applied for food assistance. I was immediately derailed and taken aback by the way the caseworker treated and talked to me. They asked me where I worked, which I answered. Then, they yelled and said,” No! No! No! I’m asking you where you work. Now you’ve got to work with me so we can get this application done here. All you have to do is tell me where you work. Now, where do you work!?” I was so astounded I almost hung up the phone. I did not even get a chance to voice my dissatisfaction with their poor attitude and treatment, so I must express it here. With my background, understanding, and experiences of providing social services, I can only imagine the amount of stress and burn out that service providers are feeling right now. However, I am disappointed and dissatisfied with the rudeness, apathy, and poor quality service that ODJFS workers provided me.. If there were an option to rate a 0, I would.

Such poor customer assistance. I'm a student and need to renew my medicaid coverage for the next year, however I was recently locked out of my account for no reason for several days. I had to call the contact number multiple times to get through to anyone. The one woman was a bit helpful, trying to verify my information over the phone but she told me I still had to upload some documents online and when I asked her how to unlock my account she couldn't help me. Finally I got into my account (still don't know why it was locked), tried to upload documents to my profile and now when I go back in to double check....nothing has saved! I tried calling again but sat on hold for 50 minutes with no answer, tried to request a call back when it was my turn in line. When I did receive a call back, I answered but no one was on the phone and the line then hung up on me. This is disgusting. A horrifying glimpse into the joke of efficiency of government run programs
