This place is everything that a library should be: open to all and centrally located. It's a ten-story monument to literacy and community. I was lucky enough to meet the management of the library personally and I can say they are exactly what librarianship and public service is all about. The staff I met is equally wonderful. Support your libraries!
Very beautiful building with historic vibe, also has gorgeous interior. Decent selection on books and media, and has a surprisingly large collection of Chinese literature. There are textbooks available if you're looking to pick up a new language. It's free to be a member and then it's free to rent. Great place in Cleveland!

Easy to get to. There's a large (but expensive) parking garage directly across the street. The collection is impressive, and the employees are very helpful.
I have loved going to the Downtown Library since I was a child. Since I have children myself, we go down there frequently and we are always greeted by friendly staff. The Children's department is excellent.
