Wonderful, peaceful forest where you can go for a Sunday drive. To get away or just take in nature!
Awesome views from the top. You can climb up there and look around. Kinda spooky. Seems so old. But very sturdy.
It's climb at your own risk, but seems to fairly good shape. I did not go stand on the tower cabin floor because it was covered in snow and could not be sure of it's intagerty. Well worth the climb to the top.
Incredible place to watch the sunrise. This tower is located on the forest road but is only .5 mi from an intersection with the north loop backpacking trail and bridle trail. It is well worth the detour to take in the view from this location. There are benches at the bottom to settle down for a break as well.
Great place to hike and get out to nature. Highly recommend
