New Dorp Library

Clean and fresh. For a library it is so fresh that I wonder why not all are like this one. And that freshness helps.

I loved this place,really clean and really kind staff

This is my favorite library everyone is nice and kind. There is always activities for everyone. Clean and great atmosphere.

I am a senior citizen that is visits this library a few times a week. Libraries usually have certified professionals to manage the library. It seems the NYPL has a hard time getting professionals with credentials to work in Staten Island. The library manager seems unqualified and rude. I have asked her questions periodically and it is quite apparent that she is not an actual librarian. She speaks loudly to patrons that aren't fluent in English. She manages librarians that are actually qualified, yet her experience seems to be weak.

I love libraries, and this one is no exception. It doesn't have a huge selection, but it's very well organized (kids on the left, adults on the right) and plenty of reading area and computers available. The staff are kind and quick to assist, and the community is great too (no massive grumbling about a long line here). I hope this library stays for years to come.
