Tug Hill Outfitters

This place is awesome! I've been on several kayak trips with them down Fish Creek and I've snowshoed there in the winter. It's always a blast. Fish creek has all kinds of cool wildlife and birds and it's a beautiful area. The owners are really nice and knowledgeable about paddling, and they've got a good range of equipment for people with different skill levels. Definitely worth a visit!

If you're looking for an experience in paddling, skiing, hiking or snowshoeing, look no further. You would be hard pressed to find a more accommodating group to get you in a boat or on some skis than Tug Hill Outfitters. Located on a large section of property in Williamstown NY, Tug Hill Outfitters has a ton of trails for hiking or skiing as well as beautiful Fish Creek to paddle on. I've done both there, and by far my favorite activity is paddling. While on the creek you will snake through a variety of environments from wetlands, forest, ponds, and fields. There is even a cool abandon train trestle to check out! Paddling down the creek you will see a large variety of wildlife depending on the time of year you visit, and the guides will be happy to help you identify them all! There is also a Sugar Shack on the property and in the spring you will see steam rising from it turning sap into syrup. If you're lucky, you might even be able to talk them into giving you a sample! I couldn't recommend Tug Hill Outfitters more!!!
