Urban Renewal

If you are looking for a place to shop freely without covering your face, this isn’t the place. Today I was asked to leave for not complying with a mask mandate. I was six feet away from other customers. Might I point out that this store is full of other people’s old furniture and clothing that hasn’t been sanitized. Logic escapes this entire experience. I will be voting elsewhere with my dollar.

this place was absolutely amazing!! everything here is so cool to look at. everyone working there is so nice and incredibly helpful! walking into the store totally transports you to a different time!

For the short trip there what I saw was extremely overpriced hipster furniture that actually looked like it had dust on it until I realized that was the actual design they had in mind most times. So much bland style and eye popping prices leave much to be desired. They have really nice couches though.

Updated. To their credit, Urban Renewal refunded us the money paid for the pillows. Eventually they also received said pillows and deliver them to our home. Their customer service and communication is lacking to say the least. We ordered a couch and a loveseat in June of 2020, they were delivered the first part of August. one of the couches came with no legs, which were eventually delivered after a few weeks. We were also missing two throw pillows. We were told numerous times ( from me calling, not them reaching out) that they were coming, that it would all be taken care of, then communication stopped. I finally got a hold of the owner, who promised me everything would be taken care of and explained to me how the whole process works etc with ordering from the warehouse. He apologized for lack of communication etc. he promised it would all be taken care of, and now it is the middle of October and still no throw pillows. I keep asking myself, how hard is it to get a couple throw pillows? If I am not contacting them, they don't bother contacting me or keeping me posted on what is going on. from this experience, I will never do business with them again. Four months! To get a couple throw pillows? Yes it seems ridiculous, and I know pillows are not that big of a deal, but it is the whole point of this business not following through with delivering what you actually paid for that has prompted this post.

Really fun and eclectic store! If you’re one that loves the hunt, and sustainability is important to you, you should pay this place a visit. You never know what you might find. The staff is friendly and helpful, and it is a small business as well. I highly recommend you visit!
