Another congregation that seems to have more money than pious members. Shady and suspect. Pompous attitudes in some of the staff. They love their own brand. Lots of boomers. Lots.

I am not a parishioner at St Jude, nor have I met Fr Couto. I can't believe two things, however: that the dollar value of cash donations to the Parish would affect his decision to endorse or participate in a Catholic event, and secondly, that as unlikely as it is that he would behave this way, that he would ever let it be know that he felt/acted this way. I suspect that like many parish priests, that Fr Couto does not want his Parish to be used for a special sacrament by those who are not participating Catholics. I would feel the same way. Go to a Justice of the Peace for the Kodak moment, do not use a Catholic (or any other denomination, for that matter) church for this event.
