JCPenney Home Store

I ordered a King size Sealy mattress over three weeks ago. Six days after my order I received an email saying the mattress had been shipped. Now (over two weeks since it was supposedly shipped) JCPenney tells me they cannot even confirm that the mattress was shipped. Sealy ships the mattress, and the JCPenney customer service reps are only permitted to contact Sealy by email. Sealy has not responded to the JCPenney emails, so JCP customer service warned me today that the order may be canceled soon, since my mattress is a close out model. The JCP customer service rep informed me that JCP has no way to track the shipment, so I have no idea if it has been shipped or where it might be. In the meantime I have no mattress, and I don't want to buy another one because the one I ordered MIGHT show up tomorrow. No one but Sealy has any idea where it is, and JCPenney customer service employees are not allowed to call Sealy, and have no way to track the shipment. It is RIDICULOUS!!! In the future I will order a mattress from a retailer who has the mattress in stock.nUPDATE: Over a week later, and JCP still cannot find my mattress. They have offered to refund my purchase price. I accepted, and then they told me it will take 3 to 5 business days to process my refund.nThis is not the first problem I have had with JCP but it is my last. I will never make another purchase from JCP.nIt has been 30 days since I ordered the mattress and 22 days since JCP sent me an email saying the mattress had been shipped to me. Now I have to wait several more days to get a refund. I'll let you know how many days that takes.
