I recently purchased a David McPhail illustration from Surroundings Art Gallery for my daughter's teacher as an end of the year gift. The owner, Don, was so wonderful in helping me select a picture for her. Also, I asked him if it would be possible to get David McPhail to sign a copy of one of his books for my daughter's teacher, and he went out of his way to make this happen for us. When we received the signed book, we found that David McPhail had actually included a few extra books and notes for my daughter and her teacher. We couldn't believe it! It was so generous and thoughtful of both of them. My experience with Don and Surroundings Art Gallery has been truly magical!nnI also wanted to note that when we received the illustration that we bought from Surroundings Art Gallery it was carefully wrapped and in perfect condition.
