Always a good experience at this airport
Spacious, good layout for major land transportation. Bus 261 goes to Rosa Parks Transit Center in Downtown Detroit, where you can connect to other buses.
Fast moving check-in felt safe security with dogs on active patrol
Comfortable terminal with growing number of attractive restaurants. For a busy terminal, it's amazingly quiet to sit at for example gate D4. I just wonder how many people still need to know that Detroit is in the Eastern timezone. At least I can fill my bottle with cool filtered water in the corridor next to the restrooms.
All the gates are close. You can to any gate in the north terminal in 5 min or less after your clear security
