The Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport

Very nice hotel, clean and great service. The best part is, it’s connected to the airport so you just walk over and you are at the gates. Fantastic scenery. The only complaint was the restaurant closed a little early and so I had to do room service, not bad but it was like 9:30 when it closed. I’d stay here again 10 out of 10 times!

We've stayed in the past and the experience has been much better - the bed was awful, definitely not a typical Westin experience. Room service menu was limited but quick and decent. The Valet staff weren't wearing masks all three times we interacted with them. The staff we interacted with otherwise were mask compliant, very helpful, and friendly.

Nice, quiet, and comfy room. Always use the fly and stay prior to our vacations. Staff is awesome. Shout out especially to the valet staff. A wonderful way to start our vacations.

WORST. HOTEL. EVER. It was like staying at the Overlook Hotel. Only Jack Nicholson was missing. Locked me in an elevator for 10 minutes. No one could see or hear me, no electricity or alarm in the elevator. Nobody at the front desk. No security. Locked out of my room also. Charged $41 for a veggie burger and a water. Charged me $20+ for a local phone call. On top of all of that, the rooms are gross. All furnishings are from the 80s. The carpet is too disgusting to take off shoes, and I wouldn’t sit on that sofa for $1 million. This hotel has not been updated this millennium. No bedside charging stations, TVs are at least ten years old. TV remote did not function. TV had, like 10 working channels. They gave me only 2 towels. I asked for a quiet room and they put me next to the elevator. Breakfast was supposed to be included, but wasn’t. Not even coffee available in the lobby. I am now in a Holiday Inn express. It’s clean, modern, updated. Has lots of towels, bedside charging stations, hooks for hanging clothes, new (clean) furniture, and the elevators function.

Room was fine but I ordered room service and they decided to just never come leaving me pretty hungry for the night
