Rude. That's all I have to say about this place. Called the wrong location on N. Monroe St. first. Guy who answered the phone was very congenial and helpful. Figured out I called the wrong place. Happily directed me to the correct location.nnWhen the lady answered the phone at this place she sounded put out and very much like she could care less about anything. I had a few questions, one specifically in reference to measurements of the square pizza, seeing as how I've never ordered from Buscemi's and couldn't decide which size was best. She was so not helpful, so I asked to speak to the manager. She told me she was the manager. I told her that that was a sad reflection of the restaurant and that she may want to think about that the next time she picks up the phone. She just scoffed at me. I did not order.

Ordered from here tonight for the first time, the pizza was hot and delicious, fast, free delivery too. We will definitely be ordering from here again, truly amazing.

I've been to the place twice. First time was okay, yet not special. Second time was not really good (I'd give 2 stars). Phone ordering process sucked. Despite the menu stating Calzones/Pizza Rolls, the order person insisted it was called Pizza Pocket (which is a horrible name for this product). Pizza pocket brings up disgusting image of frozen bricks that you get at a grocery store and thaw in a microwave to a tasteless chewy rubber brick. The pizza pocket I got from Monroe Buscemis was pretty close to that. While not exactly rubbery, it was moderately chewy and fairly tasteless. They don't have many options and refused making an Italian Calzone and waited for me to order exactly what's on the menu, or bust. Seeing how the place isn't busy, I'd prefer a bit more openness to pleasing the customer, and a bit more explaining my options (we can't make this but can do this instead, etc.) instead of meeting me with a wall of silence when I order something like an Italian Calzone. If I was Chef Ramsey I'd f* scream.nnI'd go to Buscemi's on Monroe street or another pizza place. They have made Italian Calzones for me in the past, and whatever they prefer to call it, tasted better, and the service seemed more friendly.

I just placed a order never mind I have been customer for 20 years Seems I was bothering the person that pick up the phone. This is the last time I order from them.
