Kuji Japanese Grill

I've seen both the good and bad reviews of this place. I tend to make my own assumptions based on my own experience. I know sometimes depending on circumstances and staff things can be inconsistent.nSo here's my take.nWe we got seated quickly. Food was tasty and we lots of it.nOnly bad thing we experienced was we ordered appetizers and our main course came out super fast and Apps came out last. Other than that. It was a great experience and definitely will come back.

Food was incredible at the hibachi, and so much I couldn't eat it all, but I sure tried. Very entertaining chef and attentive waitress. The volcano roll was fantastic, and the wife really liked the lava drink. As a side note bring cash so you don't have to pay the credit card % fee. The hibachi dinner came with salad, soup, and dessert. The ice cream was super creamy. We even still had a little too take home. Just as good as Genji's without the drive to Midland. Great job, I will definitely be back.

Was very excited to try this new restaurant and had very high hopes since the restaurant looks amazing from outside. I had gone to this restaurant with my boyfriend and close friend. Unfortunately stating that we were very disappointed is an extreme understatement. Starting off the waitress was absent for most of the time. And when she did come it was because she had forgotten what we ordered and took 15 minutes to let us know the drinks we ordered were not on the menu. The appetizers were just okay, but we were hopeful for the main course. Not only did the waitress get substitutions wrong and told we could not take the crab out of the California roll without an extra charge, but we had never received the miso soup nor salad that comes with the meal. On top of that the chicken and pork we ordered were filled with grease yet was so dry we could break the meat in half. The noodles tasted like nothing but greasy canola oil and the rice tasted like wet dog. The absolute WORST part of this meal was that the simple California roll tasted warm, super fishy and extremely sour. We had immediate loss of appetite and began to wonder if food poisoning was in our near future. Left all but one bite of everything back on the plate. When the manager came over he was polite yet insinuated to us and my Japanese born boyfriend that we just didn’t expect to eat this kind of cuisine and was expecting something more Americanized. On top of this he had told us he never had any complaints despite his 3 star average review on google and we were the first ones ever. Safe to say we will never return to this establishment again, and the stomach aches and lack of service were not worth it.

Was great atmosphere, but for price we were rushed to eat. They said they close at 930 got there 745 and was rushed to eat dessert. Which was scoop of chocolate or vanilla.l. not the offered cone, fried ice cream, or fried cheesecake. The food was great, the table chef 5 star..but $107 for 2 meals, 1 mixed drink before tip ..would have been great to enjoy it.

Twice we have been denied our reservation time due to being max capacity and made to wait upwards of 40 minutes for our table. I understand the new regulations but that is why we made reservations in the first place... To be guaranteed a table within a reasonable time. The food was good but nothing spectacular.
