The Genesee County Building has several of the governmental offices for the county of Genesee in Michigan. Inside, the building is well maintained -at least, the places I visited. However, the outside is in very poor condition. The parking lot needs not only maintenance, but also major repairs. The landscape is painful to see.nFor a county that is desperate to attract business, this landscape is sending the wrong messagen...looking the building from outside...would you be inclined to do business with Genesee County? I do not think so. Details, always tell the story behind a place. The disrepair of the outside make you feel not very confident...nAnd, if I am correct the planning department is in this building.I am sure, they could do better.nYes, budget cuts have to be considered, but is an image that needs to be cultivated too. For example, the court house, a building close to them has a respectable landscape. They should learn from them.
