My daughter has Type 1 diabetes which is already a difficult journey. No one chooses this. This office won’t return calls and she’s waited months to try to get a much needed appointment. No one calls back.... ever. I’m disgusted by the poor attitudes she’s encountered at the front desk when they decide to call back usually after weeks of trying to get a response. I hear the doctors are very good but the gatekeepers block these patients who have a life threatening disease... I will never be able to understand such a lack of concern, lack of any professionalism, as they endanger lives. I’m befuddled how this office is still open... I’ve never written a poor review... but lives are at stake when NO ONE cares to respond. Please find another practice if you are looking for help with your diabetes.... horrible place....

Sign says to call before entering, voicemail says they are closed. Doors are filthy and handicapped switches are too. Check in announced my birthday, and address so that everyone could hear. She also asked if I had diarrhea. Hippa help us all. I’m not a fan of Maine Medical system and this isn’t helping.nnHopefully my diabetes treatment continues to go well as it’s the only reason I gave three stars vs one.

I have had type one diabetes for 48 years. Given the new devices to assist us in improving our personal care, sharing our truth with the team, and their compassionate, current knowledge used in tutoring us to appropriately adjust to our needs...for me, I have been able to improve my life to a feeling as if I don’t have diabetes most of my day! I have a sense of being free, not care free, just free! I am grateful to have them available. My living with diabetes is really up to me. They only can help me make the proper decisions with what I share. We are a team....sometimes time is limited, a result of more emphasis on business qualities vs true excellence with medical care, the Art of it, Compassionate care. Trying to balance the time restraints given providers, gets in the way of their preferred practice style. So when I find I’ve forgotten to cover something or time runs short, I’ll use My Chart to gain more assistance.nThey always come through with what I need, along with my input. I win my games, because I continually practice... life always has a few curve balls!.... we create new responses, and succeed!

I have never received better care as a 37 year old diabetic and the care I have received, whether in person or with diabetes educators over the phone, especially with this COVID-19-19 pandemic has been exceptional. My care team has always personalized their interactions especially now. Today I talked with Lori and she was the best in help as well as advising me on my next steps with the Dexcom G6 and communication problems I was having. I completely and personally recommend this Endocrinology Clinjc to anyone seeking help with their diabetes.
