I remember the old town office on Shaker Road that was way to small for the town's needs. I just love the new Henry Pennell Municipal Complex on Main Street. The historic Henry Pennell Institute was completely renovated including the clock tower and incorporated into the new expansion for the Municipal Complex. I have used the new complex all the time for various issues and the complex is huge and beautiful building incorporating a meeting chamber that replaced Stimson Hall. The building is all completely climate controlled and comfortable. The clerk's office area is very big and has some nice beautiful leather chairs for waiting and has maybe three service window areas. I love the new code enforcement and building office straight in from the main entrance doors. There is ample parking. I see that the map marker for this large Office Complex was changed to what is the Historic Laboratory Building from the Pennell Institute. This is not correct, this laboratory building is NOT part of the The Town of Gray - Henry Pennell Municipal Complex which is the new town hall.nnUpdate 10/19/2020:nI just dropped off my ballot at Gray Town Municipal Complex around back at main entrance. The drop off box is absolutely awesome! It is made of thick steel and anchored right in the ground in concrete. Your ballot is safe and in my opinion the fastest, easiest way to place your votes right outside the Town Office for easy pickup by the clerk. It has pick proof type heavy duty lock and your ballot goes in a slot and drops into a locked compartment at the bottom of the box. There is a cover above the slot to keep rain from getting in. My suggestion is to just drop off the ballot here and no lines, no people running standing at the door like at newbegin gym or being asked to sign petitions as you go out the door. The other thing is you can drop off at any time that's convenient for you.

Beautiful, historic town office buildings and government owned property. Friendly staff and community. Gray center is an absolute cluster fu**. Traffic pattern is absurd. Extremely limited options for food. Overall, great place to live.

This town has been nothing but a depressing place for me. They basically kicked my mom out of her house now I'm getting treated like an outcast. I'm really considering moving out of it so that I can get treated like an human being not an outcast. I've been put into deep depression because of this place before and I will not let it happen again. If you have a chance not to move here do yourself a favor and don't.

I like that the town has added debit cards but don't really want to pay the 2% charge for excise tax. Bring a check book.nThe staff at the Town office are always really nice. I don't enjoy paying taxes but they make it a pleasant experience.nNice facilities, good parking.
