Alexandrian Public Library

Ever since the pandemic started, I have worn a full face shield. Since I have COPD & am obese, it is very difficult to breathe in a paper mask for any length of time. I have been a very good patron of the library for a very long time! The last time I was there, I was told that unless I wore a paper mask under my shield, I had to leave. I was told that my shield was useless. My shield has protected me since the beginning. I have not been sick or tested positive ever! I've been all over the place with my mom shopping or eating out. Not once have I had any problems! Am I over reacting? I hope not. I understand their views on the subject, but they are the only ones who have treated me this way.

Wonderful very helpfull staff. Glad to have access to it in this ongoing pandemic. Audio books, largeprint books and huge DVD selection. They also do interlibrary loans from other libraries if they dont have the item. Wear a mask and check it out.

Best run library I have every had the opportunity to visit. The staff are always willing to help!
