Very friendly and helpful staff. I know them all by their first names! Great location - right in the center of Winthrop Harbor. I go shopping there every Saturday to take advantage of $5.00 coupon and say hello to the great staff.nI wish our Dollar General offered fresh produce, such as fruit, since there are no other grocery stores here.

Just got a car, and it was starting to snow, Dollar General came to the rescue with a snow scrapper. I couldn't find it, as they were changing merch to spring, but staff found it immediately.

I love the getting candy and laundry soap there. The Dollar General by my house is the best one and the employees are very friendly.
