My husband bought me beautiful jewelry from Bert. A gorgeous ruby ring with a unique setting and beautiful ruby earrings. When I visited Bert's shop I was very impressed with his selection of jewelry. He has a collection of unique pieces and is very interested in what type of jewelry you are looking for since he is most likely able to find it for you. I bought several marquisette pieces of jewelry for my daughters as gifts and they loved them! Bert's prices are very reasonable and you will be guaranteed a wonderful treasure. My future son-in-law bought an engagement ring from Bert that is absolutely stunning! The ring far exceeded my daughter's expectations!! I'll give Bert a five starrer. He knows his stuff, and is a quirky, yet ethical guy. I was looking to sell an old diamond ring I inherited, and went to several places, one of which offered my 3000 dollars cash. I knew that was around the ballpark of what was being offered for the ring, and I decided to go to Hinsdale Fine Jewelry in Oak Brook as my last stop. It's by appointment only, but Bert was able to see me within the hour. He looked at the appraisal, which was appraised at 23,000, and started to tell me to go back to the jewelry store to see if they would buy if for a fraction of it. He wanted to make sure I knew He wasn't trying to cheat me. I already KNEW that appraisals are for replacement value only for insurance, and are really BS. Especially diamonds. So I simply told him I was going to go with the 3000 dollar offer I had on the table unless I got something better. So he shrugged and said, of course, I'll give you 3200. So that was that. He said 3000 dollars was a fair price for the diamonds, but the gold was worth something too. So I got 2000 dollars cash, and 1200 dollars check, and we chatted a bit, and everybody is happy. He really has a supercool shop. You should just drop by the office tower it's in and peek through the window sometime and see the neat stuff he has there. Quite the display.

It was time to buy an engagement ring and a friend pointed me to Bert at Hinsdale Fine Jewelry. It was a great experience from start to finish. I gave him a few guidelines as far as price range, type and quality of ring/stone I was interested in. When I got to the shop he laid out a few choices for stones and was very patient explaining all the subtle differences between the stones and the advantages that each choice would have.nnI made my choice and my ring was ready on the exact day he said it would be. I ended up telling him the wrong size and he was able to fix it superfast.nnAt the end of the day, I got a VERY nice, high quality ring and a good price that she loved! We'll be buying our wedding bands from Bert and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for nice jewelry.
