Not much to say as I only had a chimney inspection done, however, the young man who arrived was timely, quite pleasant and quick to get up on the roof to complete the inspection. He was also very informative and was a good listener. I was impressed. Looking forward to meeting others from this company now. Thank you for the quick appointment and timely arrival.
Unbelievable. Human being answers the phone, answers my questions & makes appointment. I got a reminder the day before as well. They were available earlier, so they asked if I could see them earlier. Very good estimate and very good service. Work is also guaranteed for years. Highly recommend.
Honestly, this is one of the best customer experiences I've ever had.nnThe cleaning of the stove itself went well and I received an upgraded gasket which was very appreciated.nnDuring the cleaning, the pellet stove fuse blew and fried the board, which caused the on/off button to stop working. The stove was tested prior to the end of the appointment, and we were not able to resolve this.nnLater in the day, ECC and the owner, Chris, personally came back to inspect my pellet stove and get things working. After some inspection, Chris found that the stove itself needed a new board which he offered to take care of and come back with at a later date.nnChris came back, installed a new board, and the stove is working perfectly!!!nnBottom line is unexpected things happen all the time, and I'm really impressed with ECC's thoroughness and commitment in the work they do. I had an issue with the stove, and their responsiveness / diligence in helping resolve it all the way to the finish line are traits I wish every business had. Big kudos to Chris and his team. I look forward to many more years of service together!
Wow....seeing all the recent great reviews I wonder if our calls have just gone in to the black hole. My husband has called twice and each time was told that the owner would get back to him. We really want to support local but if we can't get a return call then we might need to go somewhere else.nnUPDATE 1-13-2021: We were contacted immediately after my post and a they apologized for not getting back to us. Communication has been fantastic since then with emails and text msg. They came today to replace the pipe that goes from our wood furnace to the chimney. They did a great job and were very respectful as both my husband and I were on conference calls (the joys of working from home) while they were here. Awesome Job! We will certainly call them for future service! Glad to support local business!nnUpdate 1/16/21 after running the stove a few days and having the house fill with smoke which it has never happened before. Today my husband decided he was not going to call them back for the third time and took apart the stove pipe himself only to find that the damper was broken and not moving to let air flow up the chimney. This should have been brought to our attention and replaced. Luckily we fixed it before any damage was done. Lesson learned.
First of all they were within their hour I was told that they would be here so they arrived on time. Ian inspected the fireplace and the chimney and measured for a chimney cap they did not clean the chimney because it did not need it, their honesty spoke volumes. Ian is very professional courteous and knowledgeable when I asked questions. This was a great experience and I will post this on Facebook on the Franklin connection site there’s been several people looking for Chimney services.
