On 05/22/2020, a employee by the name of Derrick called my home to let me know that I had a payment coming up on a purse that my son bought me for Mother’s Day from Rent-A-Center. On 05-20-2020 that same son made a payment on our furniture and the purse which should have been about $140. He paid $120. When he called me, I let him know that we were told that the payments were together, and my furniture was only $86 and some change. He told me that it was for insurance. I said well when did that start because that’s not what I was told. He said it’s been on there, read your contract. I said well I was told that the payment every other week is suppose to $87 for the furniture and my son paid $120. He said well either u can pay it today or have a late fee tues because they won’t be open on Monday and hung up the phone. Customer service goes a long way with me because I’ve been in the industry pretty much my whole working career. If u have a attitude, u are supposed to leave that outside when u walk into ur place of employment. I don’t know who he slept with or what his girlfriend did to him, but I didn’t do it. U will not talk to me like u are above and I am beneath. If u don’t want to work, then stay at home. I never once raised my voice at him. When I confronted him at the store, then he wants to become a angel. He lied and said he didn’t do any of that. Rent-A-Center needs to fire him. Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
