I’ve had about 12 or so lessons from various instructors throughout albuquerque. These guys are by far the least helpful while being simultaneously the most expensive. Here’s why: 1) Their #1 goal is to get you to buy more lessons. They wax eloquent on how you have a myriad of problems that can’t be fixed overnight so you’ll have to come back again and again to rebuild your swing. 2. They love to compare your swing to pros even though pros are extremely diverse in their forms. The depiction of professionals is just bait to get you to think you can be just like them, when in fact every person has differing approaches to hitting a ball. 3. They will talk your ear off about things that have nothing to do with your game, wasting your time and your money while you stand there nodding, waiting to get on with actually learning something. 4. Their “drills” they assign you are 40 -second Golf Channel snippets that you probably watch anyway, and aren’t really drills at all, just advice. 5. Their simulators are simply different than the real thing. You can be blown away at the technology and how everything can be scrutinized, or you can go to a range, look up instructors at Arroyo or Puerto or UNM. They will take much more time to analyze your swing than these money-grabbers at GolfTec.

If you want to learn everything there is to learn about the Swing Plane, this is your indoor golf laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Latest state of the art equipment records club head speed, apex and ball flight. A practice plan, with relevant drills and lesson commentary, is uploaded after each lesson. Twice New Mexico’s top golf teacher, Kevin Amhaus spares neither any expense in bringing you up to date golf monitoring technology, he also painstaking accompanies you to rebuild a golf swing that performs in any venue, and under any type of pressure.

Giving an extra star based on the technology on site, otherwise one star. In my case, I don't think my flaws were diagnosed properly. We identified I was coming over the top, which I knew going in, but never identified why it was happening. Nothing changed in my swing in multiple lessons. I had to watch numerous youtube videos to finally figure out my root cause. Now I can work on that one aspect to try and work out the kinks. Every week I would come back, and it was the same lesson. I would come over the top, and the instructor would just tell me to use a stagger stance to try and fix it. Then he'd show me a video of a pro swing. I know pros can swing, that's why they are pros. I was there to fix my swing, and we never made progress. The instructor seemed more focused on hip and shoulder turns than anything else. Great tool, but there are for more aspects to a swing, than just turns. Couldn't be more disappointed with the results of these lessons. Had we identified my right elbow flaw in the beginning, this review my have gone another way.

I love going to golftec! I practice a couple times a week and really enjoy my lessons with Matt Love! I've come a long way with his help.

Best facility! I've been practicing and taking lessons since the facility opened and I am absolutely delighted. I've found the staff completely professional and great fun.
