I love this Island, the locals are very laid back, the beach is a blast, there is a big public pool with water slides for the kids, and if you are looking for breakfast you have to try Coaches Grill, it’s family oriented, great service, and absolutely THE BEST PANCAKES YOU WILL EVER HAVE!

I love Port A it is Paradise to me but i have one complaint these people don't believe in social distancing and when I say these people I mean the people than run the Jetty Boat on the way out to St. Joseph's Island there was maybe 15 people out of those 15 only 4 had mask on and on the way back they put 25 people on the boat and they just crammed everybody on the boat and only a few with mask on again that's no good...

Costs $1.00 per kid, $2.00 per adult. This place is great for kids and adults of all ages. They have a rock wall, 2 slides (one for toddlers and one for the big kids) big area of shallow water for the toddlers, inside & outside showers, girls and boys restrooms with lockers, little concession stand of snacks, great for throwing birthday parties. I threw one for my daughter, her and her friends had a blast. They have picnic tables on the side and that's where we had it ( no food or drinks allowed in pool area) a little park right next to the pool picnic area and skate park across the way. Great way to spend the day, might have trouble getting the kiddos to leave.

To be told by a police officer with the City of Port Aransas that the City Council does not feel the need to enforce handicapped parking brought the whole trip down. We waited over an hour for police to show up to have a truck moved for handicapped parking, only to call back and be told nothing would be done. They don't want to offend anyone and it's bad for business.....so it's okay to offend people who truly need handicapped parking and for them not to have a place to park to visit Port Aransas and spend their tourist dollars in Port A?????
