Got 25 hours of community service because I couldn't pay the over priced ticket and still had to do a paid driver safety course that I can barely afford.
The people who work at the court have been nothing but nice, understanding, and helpful through the whole process.
I call to speak with the judge. The lady told me to come see her when I come to court and I explained I'm not in trouble and don't have a court date. I just needed to speak to the judge about something and would like speak in person or over the phone. She told me that was not possible. Please tell me how if I'm a local in this town and pay taxes why am I not allowed to speak to the judge I voted into office???
The city clerk by the name of Vicki (they won't provide last names) should be reprimanded. Not only was she rude and abrasive during a phone call with me over a ticket, she did not provide me with the necessary information to properly handle the ticket. Plus she hung up on me. Very unprofessional for a city management office. No excuse for such rude behaviour.
This place is terrible. Got caught in a speed trap on HWY 67. Forgot about the ticket. Had an attorney try to get it resolved but they would not work with the attorney. In fact, there are barely any attorney's that will even touch this court house because of its reputation of being money driven. Small town so all they care about is charging almost $500 for a speeding ticket that accidently went into warrant. Are you kidding me? To top it all off every time I call the number provided I get a busy signal. EVERYTIME! Terrible service. This city should be ashamed of the way they treat people. I will never spend a dime in this city EVER.
